..::Fast friends: Me & Jess Marie::..

Hello,

This is a VERY overdue post.
Not overdue because I haven't posted on my blog in a while, but because the reason for which I am posting happened weeks ago.  A birthday.

How can two people become such fast friends?

Is it possible to feel this attached after only two semesters of classes?

Meet Jessica Marie W, one of my very dearest friends.

She is beautiful, smart, kind, funny, likable by all, caring, loving, mature, responsible, and many...MANY other wonderful things.

I met her sister Sarah at the college I am now attending and we hit it off!  When I met Sarah I was a prospective student and trying to learn as much about this institution my family and I wanted to invest in.  We got to talking and she told me that she had a sister my same age who would be starting at this college the same semester that I was.  She had just graduated high school, as did I, and I knew from my experience with her sister that she and I would be fast friends.

Soon afterward a friend request was sent and Jessica and I became "friends" for the first time.  We had many and long conversations about our lives and hopes.  We had plenty to talk about, not just about the things and hobbies we had in common, but our shared faith.  Our christian backgrounds came from different sources but we were brought to the same place theologically thanks to the Lord guiding our parents.  We knew about our shared beliefs due to the college we decided to attend, it is a small christian with the most accurate understanding of the Scriptures and the Lord that we had ever found. As our friendship grew I began to get impatient to meet her!

We met and embraced like old friends and began our grand friendship.  The day we met was orientation, August 16th 2013.

(Our class - I am the one in yellow and Jess is right next to me in black, only a couple hours after meeting.)

Fast friends is really an understatement...we have become constant friends.  We had many all-nighters for midterms, finals, or just because we lost track of the time.  We laughed and joked while we "studied" and had some of the greatest times on her floor with books on our laps and laughter in the air.  We even started a youtube channel called JESS LIVin' life using both of our names for the title.  She has always been so encouraging in every aspect.  Through classes, college living, and just life...she was there for me.  Everyone who has ever and will ever come in contact with her is/will be truly blessed.

(Moments before we parted for Christmas break.)

This semester we haven't seen each other as much because I'm only at college for one day a week, two classes.  Not being a part of everything has been hard...but all the friends I've made have NEVER made me feel out of place, especially not Jess.  Since last semester we started a band (Traveller's Highway) and have had a blast playing at a festival and coffee house!  I love singing and playing with her...life is so fun!  This semester has been a different experience than last semester, but I've loved both of them in separate ways!  I don't know how these past months would've been like without her, truly, I don't think it would've ever felt right.

To be honest, this hasn't even scratched the surface...our time together has been the most amazing ride!  I can see MANY more opportunities of quoting Brian Regan and movies together in our future.

(From her surprise birthday party.)

Happy belated birthday my dear friend! I'll soon be joining you in the 19 club!

Love and laughter,
Liv

P.S. Sorry, you're stuck with me.

(Thanks for reading this. ^_^ )

Thursday nights are our regular Volleyball night...a bunch of us young people and their parents all get together and play Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee.
